I’m honored to be showing a small selection of works from my most recent series entitled “mend”. This series contains over 100 works of art that were created in a twelve month span.
This collection of works is an exploration of feelings and my personal reaction to a significant event in my life. I have utilized a variety of mediums within each work that embody these certain feelings. Each movement, tear, spot of paint, blurring of lines, or pencil mark are intentional and further highlight this exploration.
I chose colors that are quiet and muted in order to portray a certain amount of stillness and solitude. It’s clear too, at a closer look, that some of the works have been erased, reworked, cleaned off, and covered up. This is furthermore an expression of the effort that we must go through in order to heal.
I am a full-time artist as well as the co-founder of Perrodin Supply Co. and the co-founder of The Little Craft Show. I currently live in Springdale, Arkansas with my darling husband, Jonathan Perrodin and two daughters, Raine and Ezmah. I graduated from Northwest Arkansas Community College in 2005 and later received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the University of Arkansas in 2010. I have exhibited throughout the midwest with my most recent solo exhibition at The Arts Center of the Ozarks.
